Repairs/Servicing Procedures


FULL ENGINE SERVICE - THRUST & GAS GENERATOR

PRICE £280/£235  EX UK VAT

Involves:

  •  Initial visual check & assessment of the engine condition by our engineer
  •  Engine strip down & complete clean of internal components
  •  Bearings replaced for new (x2, ceramic)
  •  Engine re-balance & re-build
  •  Larger fuel restrictor fitted, to extend bearing life, as necessary
  •  Engine wiring check-up & repair as necessary
  •  Starter motor/fuel pump check-up & adjustment as necessary
  •  Engine test run & ECU adjustment for optimum running
  •  External clean & tidy of engine prior to return shipping

For gas generators please send the complete engine – do not separate engine from gearbox



ENGINE + GEARBOX SERVICE - 44 HELICOPTER

PRICE £495/ £413  EX UK VAT

(includes replacing 4 ceramic bearings + 2 standard bearings)


ENGINE + GEARBOX SERVICE - 44 TURBO PROP

PRICE £595/ £496  EX UK VAT

(includes replacing 4 ceramic bearings + 8 standard bearings)


        Involves:

  • Initial visual check & assessment of unit by our engineer
  • Separation of gas generator (engine) section from gearbox (second stage)
  • Engine serviced as per list above
  • Gearbox stripped down & internal components thoroughly cleaned
  • Bearings replaced for new (x 6 bearings for helicopter) (x 12 bearings for turbo prop)
  • For turbo props – planet carrier to be re-drilled to allow for greater flow of lubrication
  • Power Turbine Wheel  re-balanced
  • Upgraded lubrication pipe fitted, as necessary.
  • Gearbox re-build
  • Gearbox re-connection to engine & test run as complete unit
  • External clean & tidy of engine prior to return shipping



BALANCE OF ROTOR ASSEMBLY - with or without bearing change

Precision balancing of  shaft & turbine assembly, as supplied by customer  


BALANCE ONLY: PRICE £60/£50 EX UK VAT

  BALANCE + NEW BEARING: PRICE £110/£92 EX UK VAT


Please only send your shaft & turbine assembly to us, not the complete engine



FOD SCREEN RE-MESH

 PRICE £35/£29 EX UK VAT   

Involves thorough removal of existing mesh/adhesive, before fitting/fixing new mesh.

Please send in your FOD screen only, in solid/protective packaging to avoid crushing en route.  



KERO START UPGRADE - INTERNALLY  FITTED

 PRICE £175/£146  EX UK VAT

(SUITABLE FOR  AUTO START ENGINES ONLY)

         Involves:


  • Stripping down of engine
  • Removing combustion chamber & fitting kero system to the chamber
  • Engine case glow plug hole carefully plugged (a new case can be supplied if preferred)
  • Upgraded combustion chamber re-fitted to the engine
  • Engine re-assembled
  • Engine plumbing re-routed to suit internal starting system
  • Existing starter/glow cable replaced for shorter unit + new extension cable for easy installation
  • ECU is programmed to suit kero status of engine
  • Engine test run/ECU adjusted for optimum running.  


Price is based on engine's electronics including Xicoy/Fadec ECU V10 AU107/108K - see photo below

ENGINE CHECK UP & SET UP

 PRICE £100/£120 EX UK VAT

         Involves:


  • External examination of engine to pinpoint & correct minor running gear/engine glitches.  
  • Where necessary, will include setting engine on test rig to carrying out diagnostic test run(s).
  • At no time will the engine be dismantled for internal examination.
  • Any replacement parts/repairs will be charged separately after consultation with the customer

Prices for do not include return shipping costs.

 All prices quoted for services/upgrades are based on the presumption that the customer's engines is already in a good state of repair.
